In 2012, Dr. Ylona Hartford (formally known as Marie – read more here) realized she was sick and tired of being sick and tired. This came after decades of health issues, numerous surgeries (including brain surgery), hundreds of medications, and tens of thousands of dollars spent on standard medical “solutions” that only addressed the symptoms and not the root cause of any problem or looking at her as a whole being. She’d had enough. A friend of the family was attending school for naturopathy, and Dr. Hartford decided to take the plunge. She is so grateful she did. While finding health is not a quick fix, the path has brought Dr. Hartford so much joy and vitality and walking it has been a true pleasure. Dr. Hartford graduated from the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education and is board certified by the ANMCB.
Since 2013, Dr. Hartford has helped hundreds of clients find the path to their best health. She is highly empathetic and believes her role in healthcare is to support and encourage her clients to make the changes they need to see dramatic changes in their health and wellbeing. She is certified in many areas of natural health – read more here.
Along with her Natural Health Educator’s diploma, Dr. Hartford is a Certified Life Coach, has an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a master’s degree in Vocal Performance. Before beginning work on her Naturopath certification, Dr. Hartford worked as a professional opera singer. In fact, she is still working to get her technique settled to get back on stage concurrently with seeing clients and attending school.
